About What Should I Read Next
What Should I Read Next isn’t just about book recommendations. It’s also a show that gets to the heart of how reading changes the lives of book lovers. One of my fundamental beliefs is that when you get more out of your reading life, you get more out of the rest of your life as well. My conversations with guests over the years have proved this nearly two-hundred-fold. Our guests have shared touching stories about how their favorite (and not-so-favorite) reads have provided inspiration and readerly satisfaction, forged new friendships, pulled together their family, provided emotional healing, broadened their horizons, reconnected them to their heritage, inspired a career change, or simply brought much-needed laughter into their life at just the right moment.
As a loyal listener, you know you’re already supporting the show just by tuning in every week! We appreciate this so much. And thoughtful emails and comments from listeners have bettered the WSIRN conversation since the beginning. The new features made possible by Patreon will bring you even closer to our creation process, with access to behind-the-scenes material like bloopers and cut discussions, interactive activities, and all sorts of other fun stuff. I’m most excited for the quarterly livestreams, when I’ll get to chat and play matchmaker with far more listeners than we’ll ever be able to book on the show!
At the $3 Paperback level, WSIRN patrons immediately gain access to bonus episodes of our new show One Great Book, occasional WSIRN bloopers and cut discussions, never-released WSIRN printables for you to use and share with friends, and here’s the big one — the WSIRN archive spreadsheet documenting favorites, hates, recommendations, and themes from every single episode, to make finding the perfect episode for your needs totally easy. You’ll also get instant access to the community tab, where WSIRN’s producer Brenna and your fellow patrons can hang out to chat about life, reading, and the latest episode.
Take a small step further as a $8 Hardback patron to get everything from the Paperback tier PLUS access to the quarterly livestream with Anne and Brenna, where you can ask questions, chat about what you’re reading, and participate in some lightning round live matchmaking! You’ll also have a direct hand in the WSIRN creation process through polls, brainstorming sessions, and an early chance to submit audio clips for special interactive episodes.

Ah, how good it is to be among people who are reading! Thanks for reading—and listening!—with me.
