By becoming one of my cheerleaders you will be supporting me to pursue my creative work and vision and to continue building this community.

Some of the ideas I have in mind for my work:
  • YouTube videos on outdoor cooking, nature connection, travel and mini adventures in nature
  • Weekly videos showing the nature in my area, encouraging a Sit Spot practice and regular observation of the changes in the seasons
  • Nature Journalling and foraging resources
  • In-person campfire meetups
  • Watercolour illustrations of wild food and flowers
  • Building up this online Campfire Community
At the moment I take all of my photos and videos on my phone. I'd really like to raise funds to be able to buy a professional camera to enhance my work, plus a tripod and outdoor bits like a dutch oven.

These things will also support my longer-term vision of taking groups out into nature to experience the benefits of nature and community spirit. This will be particularly for children, young people and families who are going through difficult times and would greatly benefit from this (I believe!)

I will thank you in my work where appropriate (e.g. end credits on a video). You can let me know if you would like to opt out of this.

In short: I am passionate about expressing my creativity in capturing just even a little bit of the beauty of our world. I then want to share about it with others and to encourages others to do this in their own way too.
  • Support my creative work
  • I will add your name to my thank yous on my website / YouTube etc. (Unless you opt out)
  • Put your vote forward for what you'd like to see in my videos, artwork and events

This tier offers all of the benefits in the Cheerleader tier with some extra ones on top.

You will have access to the Discord community area - an online space that can be accessed through a web browser or desktop/mobile app.
It's a space where we can share on the topics that interest us. It works much like Slack if you're familiar with that, so it makes searching for content really easy. You can post whenever you like and read what other people have submitted too. It is a much more personal and safer space than social media offers.

Topics may include
- Foraging tips and recipes
- Creative work - drafts, asking for feedback, 'show and tell'
- Nature inspiration - sharing what's around us
- Quotes and books that are inspiring us
- Recommendations for books, films and so on

The key areas of interest will (loosely) be around art, creativity, nature, the outdoors, books, resources, foraging, simple living, but will also be shaped by who joins.
Includes Discord benefits
  • Support my creative work
  • I will add your name to my thank yous on my website / YouTube etc. (Unless you opt out)
  • You will have access to the private community area on Discord
  • I will invite you to try out my draft work and give me feedback
  • Put your vote forward for what you'd like to see in my videos, artwork and events

This tier offers all of the benefits from the lower two tiers with some extra ones on top:

- online Discord community which is always open and community-led
- monthly online video 'Campfire Calls'
- weekly prompts in Discord based around our intentions for the week / creativity / nature connection. This will be based on what the community would like support and accountability with. It could be writing prompts or exercises for nature connection to try out, for example.
- notes from each campfire calls and connection in between each call for space to get to know each other more and support each other

A bit about the campfire call - a video call that seeks to recreate the beauty of a campfire setting, sharing songs, stories, creativity and being community together. The stuff that is shared can be both of our own creation and from those that inspire us.

There is also the potential for things to grow with the community. For example, there might be a demand within the group for creative sessions - we could have a video call, for example where each person is going about their own creative activity but we can chat to each other at the same time and share our work as we go.

People within the group might also like to run an online workshop on their skill or something they've been learning about.

With enough funds in the pot, I might be able to get guests in for workshops or on the campfire calls on an adhoc basis - musicians and poets, for example.

See the Toe-dipper tier for more information on Discord, the online space.

About

This Patreon page is for these things:
  • Encouraging each other to create
  • Community calls and connection
  • Supporting my creative work
The Campfire Community is an online space that seeks to recreate the beauty of a campfire setting, sharing songs, stories, creativity and being community together.

In the monthly calls, we can share songs, art, stories and reflections (both of our own creation and from those that inspire us), creating the atmosphere of a campfire as much as we can in this setting. This will be done via video calls. We can also share reflections and inspiration in the Discord online space in between the calls and as a way to record notes from each call. Then, there will be the additional option to do it in person too when we’re able! The group will be small to create the feeling of intimacy and in order for it to be safe space.

There is also the option to just opt-in to the sharing space, without the calls.

About me:
Hi, I'm Hannah! Aside from running Wild Folk (running outdoorsy events) and my other work, I love poetry (my degree was English with Creative Writing) and I am slowing getting back into painting with watercolours. I have had several jobs working with young people and vulnerable adults and completed a course in nature facilitation with Change in Nature in 2019. I am looking at how I can bring these experiences together into the context of a social enterprise, in addition to my current offering. I am always learning more about nature connection and the amazing benefits of spending time in nature. I'm looking forward to meeting other like-minded 'wild folk' as well as hosting the space.
