About

In the beginning, Wild Roots was created simply just as an outlet to help me deal with the grief I have experienced with the loss of our precious biosphere... Then, I realized, it was the beginning of something greater!

The answer was always clear to me. Connecting to our wild origins in more natural and indigenous ways is becoming more and more necessary in these challenging times. In order for us to mend the broken biosphere, we must go back and re-learn what we have forgotten. Then, and only then, will we be able to move forward to a brighter, more resilient and sustainable future for all.

With your support here on Patreon, we can create that future together! Listen Now

When I started this journey, my goal was to get an episode out every 2 weeks, the amount of brainstorming, research, editing and interviewing takes around 10-15 hours per episode. Your support will help Wild Roots stay on that schedule and create more earth-saving content.

NOTE: In an effort to stay aligned with the message of Wild Roots, I will not be giving away merchandise of any kind to remain Earth-friendly. Your contribution will be one of sustainability and honor of our wild Earth.

Soraya is a wild-bound field biologist and ecologist, also known as The Wandering Naturalist and is host of Wild Roots Podcast. To learn more about the host, visit her blog at The Wandering Naturalist.

Stay close to nature,

Goals

When Wild Roots reached this goal, I will interview the historical figure and Father of Ecology, Alexander von Humboldt in a creative podcast series/episode. Alexander von Humboldt is my personal historical hero. I would love to be able to interview "him" on current happenings within the 21st century! ;)

This will, of course, also help in the continued production of future episodes. So your support is greatly appreciated!
