SixEngine is my 16-bit game engine. Otosan is my new game. Everything I make here is non-profit and free to play. I'm a one-man shop, so your pledge makes a big difference. Let's accelerate development together! :)

SixEngine is a in-browser game engine that I created from scratch in JavaScript. I have worked on it in my spare time since mid-2013. My initial release landed on PC in 2017, along with my first full-length FF6 prequel scenario, called "Worth a Fortune" (roughly 3 hours of gameplay). It serves as an excellent demonstration of what my game engine is capable of.

I ported my engine to Android in 2018, and thanks to Patron support, I added a really cool feature called "URL SaveState" which lets you convert your save data into a tiny URL. I am actively developing new features (for use in Otosan), and you can help test them in my FF6 demonstrations. The second playable FF6 scenario, called "Next of Kin" is scheduled for Q2 of 2019.

Otosan is my latest project. It's sort of like EarthBound and Final Fantasy 6 had a baby. If you want to stay up-to-date on development, you can pledge any amount or check my feeds (Twitter or Instagram). The goal is to hit a Q4 2019 release window, but that can only happen if I have sufficient Patron support.

My engine and content will feel very familiar to SNES fans, but it's nice to add new features, too. Some examples are Fast-Forward and Auto-Battle, as well as little things like Walk / Run toggle.

Whenever I develop a major new feature for Otosan, it will first find a home in one of my FF6 Prequel scenarios, so that we can all test out the feature together before putting it into the final game. It's a great way to achieve a high standard of quality, while also making new FF6 content along the way.

I look forward to bringing many cool new features to SixEngine and Otosan in the coming months. Stay tuned!
