There is a space in the sonic fabric of Chicago which Wooden Rings inhabits.  It's a bridge between the intimate small rooms of chamber folk, music for musicians with a nod to acoustic minimalism, and the kill-or-be-killed competition at Chicago bars, custodians to the local rock scene.  Pushing our minds and passion to the edge is how we have managed to build honest, powerful, intentional, meaningful music since 2012.  We leave every part of our lives on the table from our joys to our heartache.

Wooden Rings, has been described by the Chicago Tribune as an “eerie methodical vision, precise and haunting in its beauty and strength.” In 2012, Wooden Rings won a Community Arts Assistance Program Grant from The Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events for their eponymous first album.
