As a Classic Patron you'll enjoy all the benefits of the previous Tiers plus exclusive access to our brand-new weekly Word Podcast Gold series, in which we make the cream of the crop of our hundreds of classic podcasts, the earliest of which date back to 2006, available in their original unedited state, accompanied by present-day reflections on the circumstances in which they were recorded.

This is the perfect service for those people who are always wondering where they can find the anecdote about Van Morrison and the harmonica!

You'll also get first, early, exclusive access to our now-legendary Word In Your Attic series, before each episode goes out to the world at large.

Plus, where possible we will be recording the regular podcasts in vision as well as sound in future and subscribers to the Classic Tier will be able to enjoy them in this form as well as audio.

About Word In Your Ear

Mark Ellen and David Hepworth have been talking about and writing about music together and individually for a collective eighty years in magazines like Smash Hits, Mojo and The Word and on radio and TV programmes like "Rock On", "Whistle Test" and VH-1.

Over thirteen years ago, when working on the late magazine The Word, they began producing podcasts. Some listeners have been kind enough to say these have been very special to them. When the magazine folded in 2012 they kept the spirit of those podcasts alive in regular Word In Your Ear evenings in which they spoke to musicians and authors in front of an audience.

Over these years they've produced hundreds of hours of material. If any of this has proved entertaining or informative it's possible you may have thought that you would be happy to pay for it. If so, now's your chance.
