About

Cindi Handley Goodeaux is a local Jacksonville resident that lives with her husband and muse. She is a proud mom, graphic designer wannabe, rescue dog lover, and sometime poet. She is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.

I just achieved a 30-year dream of becoming a published author. My latest book is The Adventures of Princess Jellibean and was released in November of last year. My story has themes of friendship and inclusion. Specifically, my purpose for this first book is to normalize disability for children. I use simple concepts like dancing on feet or wheels and singing out loud or signing with happy hands to accomplish this.

My husband is legally blind and advocating for people with disabilities is very important to me. I believe the earlier we help children understand that differences are a good thing the better chance we have of preventing bullying. I currently have a total of seven books under contract with my publisher, Crimson Cloak Publishing. All my stories have positive characters with a big heart.
