Dear patron,

I'm an engineer, currently working 8h / day in a multinational company. I'm also a husband and a father. In some of my spare time I enjoy writing engineering tutorials, articles on
x-engineer.org

Why am I doing this? First of all because I like it, engineering, science and maths are part of my life. Once you start to understand it, you'll like it, you'll love it and become addicted :-). Second, I though that it's a waste if I don't write down my knowledge for others to benefit from.

I also promote open source software. I'm using Ubuntu as OS and all my tutorials are and going to be developed in open source engineering tools like Scilab, OpenModelica, FreeCAD. The aim is to allow users, readers to recreate my examples for a better understanding, and not to be limited by tools and licenses.

Keeping up a site means expenses, for hosting, domain, themes and plugins. Therefore I would appreciate any extra help I can get from a patron.

Regardless of the outcome, I will keep creating engineering tutorials because it makes me happy and maybe I can make a difference is somebody's life.

Kind regards,

Anthony

All my engineering tutorials can be recreated from the articles. However, if you want to have the source models and scripts for most of the published articles please support me with 5$/month. Thank you!
Goals
3 of 10000 patrons
If the site will reach so many patrons, I'll quit my job and write articles full-time!
