Hi there! I work really hard to come up with one-of-a-kind designs for my pieces. I specialize in small-yield artisanal crafts. I love creating them and hope that you love the wonderment, peace and enjoyment they can bring to your life.

I am currently a student of Professional Crafts 2-year program at Haywood Community College. I am also a part time bookkeeper for a local environmental non-profit organization. And last but not least, I am a full time mother.

My inspiration comes from Shamanism, Animism, Vedic Culture, Yoga, metaphysics, astrology, and of course, Mother Nature (Pachamama)

An unyielding, everlasting thank you from my heart to yours, for looking at my Patreon page and considering becoming a patron.

ARTIST STATEMENT

By virtue of my background as a yoga and meditation instructor, my process begins with deep contemplation and mantra to allow inspiration and energy to flow. Oftentimes I receive ideas for designs in dreams or as I drift off to sleep at night. I like to incorporate an array of mediums liberally; such as patina for color and texture, reclaimed materials such as wood and metals, and found objects. The piece is usually the leader in my process and I am simply a vessel taking action to intuitively and organically produce the object. With this free-form approach to creating I am able to be unfettered from self-limiting perceptions and able to expand into limitless possibilities for my work.

With influences as diverse as Alexander Calder and Andy Goldsworthy, I actively strive to maintain a confident yet uncomplacent attitude with myself and my work. With this objective and awareness, I continue to attempt to expand my artistic expression in hopes of challenging and healing societal and cultural structures that frame and limit human existence and behavior.

In my kinetic sculpture series my intention is to utilize my pieces to engage the free flowing energy of a place in order to create a relaxed ambiance that allows our energy bodies to produce a sense of reflection, calm, and healing. I like to use stones and minerals in my pieces as they are scientifically proven to have the capability to create an optimal flow of information and energy, by way of vibration. Crystals, for example, have the capability of receiving and transmitting energy pulses and transporting energy from one level to another.

My Woodland series is an ode to my Naturalist studies, Animism, and a life-long interest in environmental and wildlife conservation. Each animal has its own Medicine which is unique to that specific creature; the Owl, the Crow, the Bear. My intention is to awaken conscious dialogue in an effort to decrease ecological devastation by incorporating ancestral medicine of the animal, plant, and the sacred stone kingdom in my pieces.

Goals
0 of 100 patrons
When I reach my first hundred patrons my goal is to get a acetylene oxygen torch for my home studio. This will enable me to broaden my creative horizons by working with larger pieces of metal to make larger and more intricate creations. Currently I use a small butane torch that really limits what I can work with.
