Will Sonically Manipulate Emotions for Food

In one of his specials, Paul F. Tompkins spoke of the moment he resolved to "make stand-up comedy the only job, and if I don't do stand-up comedy, then I do not eat." Replace stand-up with music, and that's where I'm at.

For the past few years, I've been lucky enough to earn my living making music for web and mobile video games. Sadly, that era has ended, but now that I've created literally hundreds of made-to-order tunes, it's time I make a few for myself.

Without the monetary compensation of the games industry, I need your support!

If you don't know what Patreon is:

Patreon is an electronic tip jar.

When I
put out a unit of music, you can use Patreon to automatically pay me a buck (or more) to say "thanks for the unit of music!"

I'd rather be electronically paid per electronically-delivered unit of music than have to rely on the selling of it as an outdated physical object that has to be funded upfront in order to exist. Patreon is a nice 21st-century workaround for all that. You are so hip and with-it for even reading this.

And if you think I'm going to put out a million things to siphon your bank account, you can cap how much you're willing to pay per month.

Alternatively, you can take my word that I am rarely menaced by the specter of rampant productivity.

If you know what Patreon is:

My "Goals" are mostly jokes, and I find "Rewards" to be nominally fun window dressing, at least at my current level of anonymity.

So, no gimmicks, no pretenses.

Fund my music if you like my music. Fund it more if you like it more / have the means.

You can tangibly affect my life with a dollar! This is the best method of doing so short of tickling me with it!

I can afford a pack of Elixir acoustic guitar strings, without which I would just be a guy scratching up a perfectly good, if oddly-shaped, wooden box
