OLD SCHOOL ASHTANGAYoga Vermont opened its doors in 1998. We have always been an Ashtanga & Vinyasa studio. Moving meditation and conscious interaction with the World increase our ability to stay present with life. Ashtanga is a ritual to free the mind and heal the body. Freedom and discipline are intertwined. Ashtanga can be adjusted for any ability, any body. Self-expression is an art form. Tradition is a template. Come in and enjoy the work and the play.
MANTRAWe use them. We love them. We share them. Mantra is a Vedic formula of sound or thought to power up our vibrational experience. It is one more favorite life science/self-study/tool for concentration. Mantra gives our mind a task so it doesn’t wander aimlessly.
PRANAYAMAPranayama is deliberate breathing. We are all about it. It does for the energetic body what asana does for the physical body. We combine it with our asana & mantra practices. We study and practice. We let it go. We do it again. Pranayama makes us lucky.
