Hi, my name is Jacob!

Who am I

I'm a 22 years old computer science student at one of the universities in Warsaw. Couple years ago I decided to set myself the highest possible target and master programming in as many aspects as I can handle. I started with learning advanced math along with the ANSI-C language in order to prepare for the high-school exams. Before the exams I was able to write apps in C and knew basics of objective programming with C++.
After the tests I chose Java as my main language along with it's Fx extension and learned to create simple graphical applications.
And that's where I fell in love with the code!

I always wanted to create mobile games. It's a phenomenal feeling when you see someone having fun with your application on their phone - the one you've built from scratch. In order to learn how to create mobile games I wrote some applications in pure Java and Android and then switched to my first game engine - LibGDX. Unfortunately it turned out that Java isn't enought because it's a really, really hard task to translate it's code automatically to the iOS engine without problems.

Then I found Unity which is the world's biggest game engine. Unity uses C# which is a purely object-oriented language so it went pretty quickly to write some basic code. With more advanced games I had to improve my physics knowledge (to this day I'm really bad at physics ;<) along with the networking and multithreading aspects and these took a really long time.
About a year and a half ago I decided to learn at least one functional language so in my free time I write some Scala code and create helper libraries with RxJava.

In the past, my hobby was to help customizing and improving popular private game servers and it's engines in Lua and C++.
My current coding goal is to master Objective-C and Swift languages to write iOS apps without a headache and to steal an iPhone somewhere, to test them ;>

In my free time I give some private lessons in order to prepare kids for the exams with math and objective/struct programming.

I believe that the harder you work as a boy - the more you'll be paid as a man. And I can prove it.
