Hi Everyone!

My name is Chris Zurbrigg. I’m creating video tutorials and writing articles related to all areas of the animation production pipeline and what is required to be a pipeline TD in a small to medium sized studio. The content is heavily weighted towards the technical side of things: coding, developing tools, building workflows between DCC applications and production/asset management software and much more.

The primary goal is to provide content that is intended for an intermediate to advanced level audience, going into detail on subjects that often receive little attention or are skipped entirely. It is intended for individuals who may be looking to become a junior level TD or for anyone who wishes to expand their existing technical skill set.

A little bit about myself. I’ve been in the animation/games industry for over 10 years now. I hold a degree in Computer Science and graduated from Animation Mentor way back in 2007. I’ve worked as a TD and software developer in a number of animation studios in the Toronto (Canada) area and spent a couple years doing AAA game development.

Currently, I am an independent/freelance developer creating tools for animation, games and VFX. Popular releases include Keyframe MPKeyframe Pro and the Maya plug-ins Charcoal Editor 2 and Blue Pencil 2.
