About Amanda Pascali

Internationally acclaimed bilingual singer/songwriter and 2019 Kerrville New Folk finalist, Amanda Pascali was born in Queens, New York and is based in Houston, Texas. Amanda's ability to create content (original songs, videos, photos, and written excerpts) depends on the support of her listeners, both financially and emotionally.

This page is meant to be a lens into Amanda's life; her family history, her humanitarian work, stories of others that inspire her, and the documentation of these things in songs, photos, videos, and written excerpts. With the support of her patrons, Amanda and her group will be able to record their new collection of songs to be released in 2021.

Often referred to as a "young, female, and Italian Bob Dylan," Amanda writes music to tell the story of a girl, transplanted from the Corona and Forrest Hills neighborhoods of New York City to the center of Houston, Texas. With a father who was thrown out of his home country for rebelling against the government, Amanda was driven from a young age to be a messenger of her family’s stories and diaspora. Her music, now coined Immigrant American Folk, delivers a powerful narrative on being “too foreign for here, too foreign for home, and never enough for both.” Her videos and other content made to engage with the immigrant community in Houston are equally compelling pieces of work which bring to light the changing face of the American millennial generation.
