    $5
    per new piece
$5 is £3.98 -- the price of a more expensive cup of hot chocolate, or maybe tea and cake somewhere a bit cheaper. Thank you so much for your support: it's so encouraging to know you want to help me succeed.

    • A postcard every quarter, commissioned by me from an independent artist designed by me from public domain images
    • Access to my Patron-only feed

$10 is £7.97 -- enough to buy lunch and a drink in a local café.
I like lunch, especially when buying food is a possibility: more time for composing, less time spent washing up. Thank you for giving me that time!

      As thanks:
      • 2 postcards every quarter (one with a message for you, one for you to send to someone else)

        About Kathryn Rose

I love writing choral music -- but not charging for it. I feel called to make my works available for all kinds of community and liturgical use. In turn, I'm community supported, not commercially supported.

I license most of my work under CC BY-SA, which means other people can use it creatively, even for commercial purposes, without having to ask my permission first. I am committed to this model because I know from my work as a church musician just how limiting "traditional" copyright can be. Sometimes I release music under a more restrictive CC BY-SA-NC license which means commercial exploitation of the work isn't allowed, but non-profit use is fine; if I do this, it's usually because the writer of the lyrics is more comfortable with that license.

When you pledge, you'll be helping me spend more time honing my craft and composing music for everyone to enjoy. I'll keep releasing my work under CC BY-SA or CC BY-SA-NC, so you won't only be supporting me, but also other musicians.

        Thank you so much!

I'd like to get some tea towels printed, either of my work, or of artwork that I've commissioned for postcards. When I reach $315 (£250) of pledges, that's exactly what I'll do.
