Chicken Tier
On a farm, chickens are important, just as the other animals are.
They not only provide eggs, they also eat ticks and other bothersome insects, making the environment somewhat safer and more enjoyable for the farmer.

Goat Tier
Goats are somewhat helpful for clearing brush, and keeping the grass under control.
They also deter some of the smaller wild animals, keeping the other animals safe.

Horse Tier
Horses keep some of the larger wild animals away, protecting the other animals.
They can also be ridden, either for recreational purposes, or for other reasons.
They can also pull quite a bit, though this is more commonly done by tractors in the present time.
