About Giovania Tiarachristie

My name is Giovania, or "G" (they/them) and I'm a queer, Indonesian-American urban planner, racial justice consultant, coach, traveler, cartoonist, and watercolorist. I'm starting a Patreon to more regularly practice my art and simultaneously help fund my journey to train as a healer through art, coaching, and somatic practice.

My main comic strip series is called @Coded_Toons, where I illustrate my adventures with society, self-care, and self-sabotage, in the representation of a sheep and their various animal friends. I cover topics around race, class, gender, mental health, social justice, and more. Much of my content reflects my conversations and learnings with my therapist, or personal reflections with my journal, around decolonization and liberation.

I am also working on a graphic novel memoire about my family's story as Chinese Indonesians and my experiences around identity and in-between belonging.

I prioritize travel where I can, and am a sucker for nature-scapes, good food, and humble cultural exchange. I've been experimenting with painting scenes from my travels using my watercolors, as the process and outcome bring me peace.

Thank you in advance for your support!
