About The Leftscape
After the shock of the 2016 U.S. presidential
election and the existential need for positive momentum through the 2018 midterms
and beyond, we became determined to build a creative platform to
help increase the health of our democracy. Our podcast has been growing steadily ever since
its inception on May 30, 2018. Be part of the

The Leftscape features discussions on the most pressing current events, opens space for engaging personal dialogue, and welcomes guests from the worlds of activism, feminism, music, media, racial equity, STEM, LGBTQ+, spirituality, and more. The tagline of the podcast – the shape of progressive conversation – represents the gentle and not-so-gentle curves progressive people navigate in pursuit of honesty, social justice, and finding common ground. We co-hosts –– theater director and teacher Mary McGinley, recording artist and writer Robin Renée, and illustrator and composer Wendy Sheridan –– respond to current events not as pundits, but as people in the midst of life as artists, entrepreneurs, and citizens determined to elevate diverse voices.
