About Kevin Chapman (lollujo)

Hello folks, and welcome to my Patreon page - this page was created to support both my daily family vlog channel (Kevin Chapman) and my gaming channel (lollujo) on YouTube. If you enjoy either or both of those channels then thank you very much for watching, and thank you very much for taking the time to check out how you can support the channels!

I first started my gaming channel in 2015 as a hobby, releasing some fairly terrible Football Manager videos whilst still working full-time as a teacher. Gradually my videos got a little less terrible and people started to watch and subscribe to the channel and in 2017 I added the vlog channel to have a home for all of the non-gaming videos that I wanted to make. Both channels grew quickly throughout 2017 and by the end of that school year I was able to leave my job and work exclusively on making YouTube videos and Twitch streaming.

I love my job - I get to sit at my desk playing games or visit theme parks with my kids and call it all work! - and for that I'm incredibly grateful to every single person who's ever watched one of my videos for giving me the opportunity to do this for a living. Unfortunately, YouTube themselves aren't quite so supportive to smaller creators and despite my channels continuing to grow throughout 2018, my ad revenue has been slowly declining since the start of the year. I'm hoping that Patreon can help make creating videos sustainable for me and allow me to continue to do what I love, full-time whilst supporting my family long-term

I'm also hoping that Patreon will allow me to take a few more risks with the content I create - for example, different games, different styles of video, and more creative content without having to worry about the impact it'll have on whether I can pay the bills - I'm sure some of you have been as frustrated as I've been at times that certain video styles and series, such as Total Extreme Wrestling, tech reviews, unboxings, collaborations and even ideas such as the autism podcast and wrestling channel have disappeared or been used very sparingly, but the reality of the situation is that as they're not as popular as Football Manager videos or autism vlogs, I find my hands tied by needing to pay the bills. Of course, I'm not saying that a successful Patreon will see me abandon the content that brought you here in the first place - I'll always make daily FM videos and vlogs, but it'd be great to be able to stretch my creative muscles a little more often with extra videos and series on different topics without having to worry about the impact it'll have on my ad revenue.

In return for supporting me in doing what I love every day, all patrons will get their name in the credits at the end of all my videos for as long as they continue donating. You'll also be invited to join my newly re-launched Discord page where we can chat about gaming, life or anything you want! No videos or content will ever be kept behind a pay wall, or available early to some people or anything like that - all of my videos have always been and will always be available for free, for everyone, on my YouTube channels.

Before you go, I think it's important I say that there is no expectation that you donate to this page - I only want people to support my work because they want to, not because they feel like they should. If you do choose to back the channels, please pay as much or as little as you want, for as long as you want, and if you decide to stop, don't feel bad, don't apologise and don't feel like you're doing anything wrong! Treat this Patreon as a tip jar - if you're enjoying my content, have some spare cash and want to donate some of it, then go for it! If you'd rather just continue watching for free, then that's fine too!

Thanks for reading, and thanks for you ongoing support, whatever form it takes!
