About Phoebe Philips
increase acceptance for healthy alternative lovestyles in the world we live in.
Our first big project? A PODCAST!
For the past several years, my goal as a blogger has been to explore diverse perspectives on ethical non-monogamy (ENM) and personal growth in ways that are thoughtful, introspective, and above all inclusive. In addition to posting blogs, your support today helps me launch a brand new podcast that features everyday people who talk about how they are practicing ENM in myriad ways. From solo poly, to mono poly, to triads, anarchists, and swingers - there is more than one way to establish healthy non-monogamous relationships, and I want to hear them all!

Podcast launch target: March 2019
With your help, it's going to be amazing!
About Me
I am known as Phoebe "Phi" Philips, or in some circles "phi-is-me." I am a relationship coach, mentor, blogger, and ubiquitous admin/moderator and contributor in many of your favorite Facebook polyamory-related support groups. In 2018, I made the decision to leave behind a 20-year career in nonprofit fundraising to pursue a my dream of improving lives in a more personally meaningful way. Today, I am proud to be turning my passions into a business as a coach, mentor, event producer, and content creator for the kink and ethically/consensually non-monogamous (and adjacent) communities.
Kink and poly-adjacent people are those who are close with or involved with kinky and/or ENM folk, but don't themselves identify in that way. This covers people in mono + poly relationships, people who are thinking about opening up but haven't yet, and family members, friends, and colleagues who are invested in learning more, reducing judgement, and gaining acceptance of the ENM/polyamorous community.

The Monocorn Sanctuary, a private facebook support group I created for monoamorous/monogamous people in relationships with polyamorous people.
The big project you're supporting when you join the polyammering army is the PODCAST and the BLOG. Secondarily, those of you who are members of one or more of the groups I volunteer to moderate might view this as a way of saying "thank you" for the time I dedicate to supporting several helpful and welcoming spaces for people to get support.
For the PODCAST: Funds raised through this campaign will cover my time, cost of equipment, and the ability to eventually pay people to make it sound better, add transcriptions, and (ultimate goal) host a big annual supporter thank you party in the Los Angeles area.
For the BLOG: Your support will help cover the costs associated with maintaining the blog, help me dedicate MORE time to writing (and hopefully get it up to weekly or even daily posts), and eventually allow me to pay someone to do the stuff I don't know how to do to make it better in terms of design and functionality.
And, maybe it's because of my background in nonprofit, but I really believe that the work I do to help people as a coach shouldn't be limited to those with financial privilege. That's why 10% of the funds I receive from members of the top three tiers will be set aside to make coaching accessible for people in marginalized communities struggling with financial burden.
What else does polyammering do?
As a mentor, I offer insight and feedback drawn from my extensive personal experiences to share ideas and perspectives that you may not have considered. A mentor can give advice - but my method is one that blends coaching and mentorship to offer suggestions rather than dictate your next course of action to you. Patrons will benefit from special access to my "office hours" via the online Patreon Community, where I will pop in from time to time to answer questions and share resources (my own and others) that help you process your relationship challenges.
As an event producer, I drive conversations and create spaces that offer gentle guidance and support for people who are poly-resistant, in mono/poly relationships (like me), or who are new to the concept and nervous about how to get started. I am also hosting workshops that are geared toward addressing issues that come up for folks over 30 who are in open, but mature and stable relationships.
I am not polyammering on my own. Your support today makes polyammering a "we" thing. Together, we will create the changes we want in our own lives and in the lives of our loved ones.
Join me on this venture to demystify many of the myths and misconceptions surrounding what it means to be in an open, polyamorous, or otherwise ethically non-monogamous relationship. Let's create some dialogue surrounding our ability as a community to reduce judgement and increase acceptance for this lovestyle in the world we live in.
Thank you for your support.
