About Relaxable

Hello! Thanks for stopping by :^)
Here's some history and a little about me.

I'm Relaxable. I coined this entirely random username for myself in 2006 when I was 12, and the reason behind it is really silly so I won't bore you with the details (but feel free to ask). I've been drawing for a really long time now, entirely self-taught. I started drawing seriously at the age of 12/13, and my first love was The Lion King. I'd spend days drawing Simba over and over again on paper until I could get him to look just right on my own without any references. In late 2008, I got my first Wacom tablet. Since then, I've grown into the artist that I am today! Here's a small snippet of my artistic development:

My journey wasn't this linear, though. When I was 15, I decided I should expand my skills and broaden my horizons by making other kinds of art - so I tried to draw more humans, more realistic paintings and so on. Here's how that went:

You get the idea.
I really loved drawing because I went through some very difficult things just before adolescence, having to deal with the death of a parent, so it was kind of like an escape from life. I liked the idea of being able to visualise and build my own concepts, characters and stories. Outside of my hobby, I studied graphic design for 3 years and have worked at several companies as a full-time graphic designer before I decided to become a freelance digital artist as of 2020.

I joined the Zootopia fandom at the very end of 2018 and I haven't gone anywhere since! I watched the movie maybe 3 or 4 times when it came out in 2016, so I always loved it, but watching it again the year before last made me realise how much I really enjoyed the film. For a little while now, I've decided that I enjoy drawing anthropomorphic animals the most out of anything. So I guess that's what I'll be sticking to - if that's what you're here for, then you're in luck! Consider supporting me if you like my Zootopia stuff :)

I use: Procreate on iPad Pro (2018)

Thank you so much for supporting me - you're making it possible for me to not only continue my passion, but to also make a living doing it. <3
