About Rescate Playas Borinquen

Rescate Playas Borinquen is a 501(c)3/1101.01 federally and locally licensed nonprofit organization that has been responsible for the restoration and transformation of one of Puerto Rico’s most iconic and beautiful areas Punta Borinquen, Aguadilla (Ramey), Puerto Rico. As studies show, there is a distinct correlation between the local economy and these natural and recreational areas we are rehabilitating. When these lands were transferred from the former Ramey Air Force Base to the local government they were completely abandoned for decades, but all of that has changed since Rescate Playas Borinquen adopted the area.  We are currently in charge of:

-Road Repairs (Beach Access Improvement)
-Water Quality Testing Program (Surfer’s Beach)
-Basic Infrastructure Restoration (Bridge Reconstruction)
-Historical Landmark Maintenance (Spanish Light House Ruins)
-Signage and Mapping for the Area (Hiking Trail Markers & Directional Signs)
-Tree Planting (Dune Restoration)
-Beach Cleanups (Trash and Debris Removal)
-General Maintenance of the Area (Mowing and Trimming)
