We're Retrospring, a social Q/A site (think CuriousCat and ask.fm). Maybe some of you even remember Formspring, which is what our site is modelled after.

Instead of just offering users pages for getting questions, we also feature social features on the site between users, including following, sending questions to all your followers, commenting and smiling (our version of liking). Once a question is answered, you can automatically share your answer to services like Twitter.

Additionally, we offer features like lists, where you can group your favorite users together to view all their answers in a neat feed instead of your regular timeline.

Social media sites don't have a lot of customization options nowadays, so that's why we want to change this and are offering our users the ability to change pretty much every color available on the website. The themes are visible to them on most pages, but other users can also see someone elses theme on their profiles and answer pages!

Further customization options include:

Adjustment of the name of anonymous users on your profile (instead of our "Anonymous Coward" preference)
A custom tag you can append to your Twitter posts (e.g. add a hashtag or text others can mute)

And there's more to come!

We also value the privacy and data of our users a lot, so it is not sold off to anyone and only shared with the least amount of required parties, you are always in control and deleting your account also really means deleting it, we don't keep anything once you are gone.

All of our development process and our source is completely open to the public on GitHub, so you can follow along, report bugs and if you like even contribute to the code, to make it even better!

Please don't feel pressured to support us on Patreon if you don't have the financial means for it. Support won't grant any special status nor features on the site and is only there to help us with the hosting bill as a sign of gratitude from your side!
