Welcome! My name is Seth Goepel; I live off-grid in the woods of Western Maine with my small family and a growing assortment of livestock. My art is influenced by a variety of aesthetics, primarily being a fusion of traditional religious iconography from Europe and Ethiopia with the simple and beautiful folk motifs of various cultures. My intent is to create art that is both beautiful and good in the rich traditions of history as well as fresh, bright and relatable to the modern world. Our small domestic monastery is the perfect setting for creating these works, steeped in the land and aspiring to heaven. I'm very excited to be able to share it with you and pray that it will enrich your life as it has mine.
