About Sacil Armstrong

Hey y’all!

Standing up for social justice is not just about bringing the fire. That's the part they show on TV and social media. But what makes that fire sustainable is self-care, being able to find your calm in the chaos. Because the chaos is ALWAYS there.

Learning our history and knowing how to fight for equity is important. Knowing when to pause, how to care for yourself, what type of care you need at the moment. That's what keeps you going because we can't run on fumes and anger forever. Knowing how to shut that shit down, breathe properly, and call on love to keep us going is what sustains a movement.

This space is to help us do all of that - learn our true history, figure out how to make change, and breathe, knowing that if we step away to sleep, eat a good meal, laugh at a comedy, it's okay. The fight will still be there. And we'll be more effective if we take a break.

This is about creating equity and emotional balance. It's about undoing our social training so we can create the capacity to love ourselves and heal our communities. I hope you’ll join me!
