Tom Givens

Tom Givens has been providing modern, effective self defense training with firearms since 1975. He is a graduate of the NRA Law Enforcement instructor schools (handgun, shotgun and tactical shooting instructor), the FBI police firearms instructor course, and has trained with Jeff Cooper, Chuck Taylor, John Farnam, Clint Smith, Massad Ayoob, Ken Hackathorn and dozens of other top tier instructors. Givens is the author of six published textbooks, a contributor to four others, and the author of 150 published magazine articles. He was active in pistol competition in both IPSC and IDPA and is a Master in three IDPA divisions, and won several state and regional championship titles. Givens currently teaches all over the United States and in Europe. Our goal here is to provide subscribers with up to date, vetted, and practical advice and guidance on self defense with handgun or shotgun.
