Hello! I'm John, creator of the visual kei library, vkgy (ブイケージ). I'm a veteran vkei fan, and am passionate about promoting the genre.




vkgy (ブイケージ) {“v-k-jee” or “v-cage”} stores decades of visual kei news, thousands of vkei artist profiles, information about the latest vkei releases, and much more. There's information you can't find anywhere else, exclusive interviews, and news directly from bands.



vkgy is also a community: after signing up, you can create a custom vkei avatar, comment, tag, rate, create lists, track your vkei collection, and much more. We also have a thriving Discord community where you can interact with kind vkei fans from across the world.


As of 2022, vkgy contains 12,000 artist profiles and 3 million records in total. With views in the hundreds of thousands each month, we have significant recurring costs. Your contribution helps cover operating costs, supports future growth, and makes our giveaways possible.
