About Kathryn Briggs


Hello! I'm Kathryn and I make arty comics and I talk about the symbolism of The New Chapter Tarot

I use my classical fine art training to create comics that blur the line between sequential and fine art; I'd much rather have my work dog-eared and tea-stained than behind glass and in a gallery.  I use watercolors, inks, pencils, collages; whatever I can get my hands on.


I'm also the creator of The New Chapter Tarot, out now from Liminal 11. This deck is a story, a journey, a self portrait of change, with a forward by tarot legend Rachel Pollack.
The New Chapter is rich in mythology, sacred geometry, and traditional symbolism, all of which I deep dive into one card at a time
